Woman arrested in Palmerston was spotted kicking car door in parking lot

A Minto woman has been charged after allegedly kicking a vehicle door in front of a restaurant.

On Wednesday morning, Wellington County OPP responded to a public disturbance on Main Street in Palmerston after learning a woman had been kicking the side of a vehicle.

Upon investigation, officers learned that the suspect was allegedly involved in an accident earlier that morning where the same victim's purse was stolen.

A 28-year-old woman has been charged with mischief over $5,000 and theft under $5,000.

The accused has been held for a bail hearing due to failure to sign release documents.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
