Elementary schools in Bluewater District School Board to strike Friday

Elementary schools within the Bluewater District School Board are the latest to join in the next round of provincial strike action.

Unless a provincial collective agreement is met, the Elementary Federation of Ontario members within the Bluewater District will participate in a one-day full withdrawal of services on Friday, during which all classes will be canceled.

Other school boards also have announced plans to withdraw from services which may affect Midwestern Ontario, including the Avon Maitland District School board, which will participate in a one-day strike on Thursday.

Additionally, Ontario’s English Catholic teachers plan to hold one-day strikes on Tuesday, which will see the cancellation of all catholic elementary and secondary classes in Midwestern Ontario.
