Motorist succumbs to injuries after collision near Lucan

A driver involved in a single-vehicle collision in Lucan has died in hospital as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

The OPP said a lone northbound vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on Saintsbury Line on January 10.

The driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

On January 15, the driver, 26-year-old Tyler Cooper of Lucan, Ontario, died.

The OPP's Technical Collision Investigators did attend the scene at the time of the collision due to the seriousness of the injuries. The road was closed during the initial stages of that probe.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
