Recognizing conservation efforts

The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) is now accepting nominations for its Conservationist of the Year Award.

The award is presented at the Authority's Partner Appreciation night in March.

“Sometimes it's a nature group, sometimes it's an agricultural producer or rural landowner or it could be a service club. There are all kinds of worthy recipients who have won this award since 1984,” said Tim Cumming, the ABCA's Communication Specialist.

Cumming said it's a great way to recognize someone's work when it comes to conservation.

The deadline for nominations is February 15 and anybody can nominate someone for the award.

More information, including the entry form, can be found on the ABCA website.
