Public elementary teachers target Upper Grand Board next week

Rotating strikes by public elementary teachers will target Upper Grand District schools next Tuesday.

On January 28, all Upper Grand elementary schools will be closed to students due to the one-day Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario strike, unless the strike is averted. Elementary schools will re-open to students the next day.

All UGDSB secondary schools will remain open to students and operate as usual that day, which is an exam day in secondary schools. Exams will continue as scheduled.

Buses and other student transportation for all Upper Grand elementary students will be cancelled but will run as usual for secondary students.

Community Use of Schools and third-party operated child care centres remain open during this labour action. Some before and/or after school programs may also be operating.
