Saugeen Shores police make arrest in prowler investigation

The Saugeen Shores Police have made an arrest in connection with a prowler investigation in Port Elgin.

In November, a man was observed peering into two residences, and the police service eventually issued a public appeal for assistance for help solving the case.

A DNA sample was collected and sent to the National DNA Data Bank for analysis, where it obtained a positive hit of a known, convicted offender.

A 38-year-old Hanover man has been arrested and faces several charges including criminal harassment and breach of recognizance.

He was released with a court date.
