Scammers busy in West Grey

West Grey police officers are busy investigating a number of frauds and scams.

Last week, a citizen clicked a bad link on a website and scammers locked up the victim's computer. A substantial amount of personal information was disclosed and a credit card was compromised.

Another citizen lost $800 to a scammer pretending to represent TD Visa after following orders to purchase gift cards and provide the numbers and PINs.

A third scam was prevented when a local bank employee recognized a CRA scam in progress and referred the client to West Grey police

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
