Upgrades for Falls Reserve Conservation Area

The Falls Reserve Conservation Area near Goderich is getting an electrical upgrade.

“A lot of the new trailer types, they're set up to run on a thirty amp service, meaning they've got micro-waves in them and heaters and fridges and all that sort of stuff. So the old 15 amp service is not sufficient for operating the trailer." said MVCA Superintendent Jason Moir. "So the total upgrade is about a $150,000 and this upgrade is taking place currently, we've already had the electricians out on-site and installing the electrical, with the finish of the electrical upgrade to take place before the May long weekend."

Moir added the cost for the upgrade is being covered by the revenue created from fees at the park over the years so that surplus is being used to cover the cost of the upgrade.
