Teen charged following traffic stop in Listowel

A traffic stop in Perth County has led to impaired charges for a 17-year-old.

Early Saturday morning, OPP officers responding to a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection of Wallace Avenue and Main Street in Listowel.

During the course of the investigation, officers formed the opinion that the driver had consumed alcohol.

A roadside test resulted in a fail.

A 17-year-old from Fergus was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Teviotdale, he'll appear in Stratford court on February 20.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
