Annual municipal showcase to take a year off in 2020

Wellington North’s annual Showcase has been going for the past 10 years, but it’s going to take a break this year.

The Showcase gives Wellington North businesses a venue for networking with each other and getting their products before the public.

Wellington North’s Economic Development Officer Dale Small said to watch for a bigger and better Showcase in 2021 when the three north Wellington County municipalities, Minto, Mapleton and Wellington North will go together on the event.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
