A canine unit helped police track a person suspected of stealing a pick-up truck.

Police were called around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, to a home on Road 128 in Perth East for a report of a stolen pick-up truck.

Police later found the truck in Listowel. The OPP's Emergency Response Team and a Canine Unit searched the area and found a suspect in a garage on Havelock Street.

A second stolen vehicle from Middlesex County was found not far from that residence.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man from Stratford and charged him with multiple property, driving and bail violation offences. He's due in court on Thursday.
