Driver charged after colliding with police cruiser in Exeter

A Bluewater resident has been charged after an SUV collided with a police cruiser in Exeter, causing significant damage.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Monday at around 7:21 a.m., an OPP cruiser was travelling south on Main Street when it was struck head-on by a northbound SUV that had crossed the centre line.

Fortunately, neither driver was injured.

As a result of the crash, a 31-year-old from Bluewater resident who was driving the SUV has been charged with careless driving.
