UPDATE: Driver identified following fatal crash north of Walkerton

**Updated as of 9:20 am January 31st**

A collision has claimed the life of one person in Elderslie Township.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Thursday shortly before 4:18 p.m., a pick-up truck left the roadway on Concession Road 2 and struck a hydro pole.

The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. After notifying next-of-kin, the driver has been identified as 41-year-old Kevin Warren of Elderslie Township.

Hydro One responded to the crash scene to assess the damage to the hydro pole.

Police continue to investigate the collision, which closed a portion of Concession 2 for a lengthy period yesterday. If anyone has information regarding this incident, contact South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
