Northern Bruce Peninsula councillor shares design submission for new lighthouse in Lion's Head

Some of the first community submissions for a new lighthouse in Lion's Head have caught the eye of at least one Northern Bruce Peninsula councillor.

Councillor Megan Myles shared a design on Facebook that looks very similar to the lighthouse that was destroyed in a storm on January 12, save the one key feature of using six-inch sawn stones for the majority of the structure.

Those interested in donating to the Lion's Head lighthouse rebuild project can do so in person at the Northern Bruce Peninsula Municipal office at 56 Lindsay Rd. in Lion's Head, or by calling 519-793-3522.

Those interested in submitting stories or ideas for the rebuild project can send an email to lighthouselegacies@northernbruce.ca.
