Police thwart an in progress break-and-enter

South Bruce OPP stopped a break-and-enter that was in progress earlier this week.

Officers were called about a break-and-enter taking place at a business in Teeswater on Clinton Street on Tuesday, February 4th just after 8:30 pm. Police arrived and placed the accused under arrest without incident.

As a result, a 23-year-old Brockton native was arrested and charged with Break and Enter, Theft, Mischief, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Disobey a Court Order. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on February 26, 2020 to answer to the charges. Anyone with more information regarding this crime can call South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
