Donation supports needed equipment at Wingham hospital

A new electrocardiogram machine (ECG) for the Wingham and District Hospital is being fully funded by a local business.

Joe Kerr Limited donated $20,000 to the cause.

Last fall, one of the existing ECG machines was unexpectedly decommissioned. Hospital officials said the need to replace the equipment was immediate and Murray Kerr and Andrew Kerr made the generous donation.

ECG machines are used to detect heart activity and diagnose cardiac conditions.
