A house fire near Rostock closed a Perth County road for a lengthy period last night.
Perth East Fire Chief Bill Hunter confirms in an email to CKNX that Perth East Fire Milverton and Sebringville stations, along with mutual aid from North Perth Fire's Monkton Station responded to a structure fire on Perth Road 135 just north of Rostock shortly after 6 pm Sunday night.
The house was fully engulfed when crews arrived, and the occupants had evacuated safely. 1 person was taken to local hospital as a precaution and was released. Perth Road 135 was re-opened earlier this morning. An investigation is underway, and there is no cause or damage estimate at this time.
