Port of Goderich Green Marine certified

The Port of Goderich is the newest Green Marine participant.

Goderich becomes the 10th Great Lakes port authority to become part of the largest voluntary environmental certification program for North America’s maritime industry.

President of the Goderich Port Management Corporation Rowland Howe said it's part of their goal to strive for continuous environmental improvement.

He added that port operations and wharf expansion projects are inherently aligned with addressing key environmental issues.

The comprehensive program addresses key environmental issues using 12 performance indicators that include lowering air emissions, minimizing community impacts, and demonstrating environmental leadership.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
