Bruce Taxi suspends service in Saugeen Shores due to 'unlicensed taxi services'

Bruce Taxi has suspended all services in Saugeen Shores.

In a phone message, the company said it made the decision because of Saugeen Shores' unwillingness to investigate the operation of unlicensed taxi services.

Bruce Taxi said it will, "No longer risk the health and safety of their staff" and will not offer service in the Port Elgin and Southampton area for the foreseeable future.

The phone message on the number for Bruce Taxi directs those with concerns to contact the municipality or the Saugeen Shores Police Department.
