No traffic controls coming to intersection of Hwy. 21 and Rd. 83

Huron County's engineer told county council recently there are no immediate plans to proceed with traffic controls at the intersection of Highway 21 and County Road 83 at the south end of the county.

Steve Lund said the county had requested a staff report on the status of the intersection.

“The report touched base with the Ministry. They are aware of concerns and monitoring the traffic and accident history," Lund said. "This intersection has no immediate plans to go forward in terms of further traffic controls, such as signals or a round-about, but they have noted it.”

But Lund added there are no immediate plans for further traffic controls, like signals or a round-about, but they have noted it and will continue to monitor the situation.

Lund also said the intersection of Highway 21 and County Road 83 has to compete with other ministry priorities throughout the province for limited resources.
