Police looking for leads following rural break-and-enter theft

Perth County OPP officers are looking for any leads regarding a recent break-and-enter theft at a rural home.

On February 23 during the day, unknown suspects forced their way into a residence on Line 82 in Elma Township. The suspects used a pick-axe found in the barn to break into the home, and once inside, they stole an unknown quantity of cash. No one was home at the time of the break-in.

The homeowner says they did see a silver or grey car in the area around the time the break-and-enter occurred. Anyone with any information regarding this crime should contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
