Police looking for leads following rural break-and-enter theft

Perth County OPP officers are looking for any leads regarding a recent break-and-enter theft at a rural home.

On February 23 during the day, unknown suspects forced their way into a residence on Line 82 in Elma Township. The suspects used a pick-axe found in the barn to break into the home, and once inside, they stole an unknown quantity of cash. No one was home at the time of the break-in.

The homeowner says they did see a silver or grey car in the area around the time the break-and-enter occurred. Anyone with any information regarding this crime should contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
