Snowfall warnings and special statements

Snowfall warnings are starting to pop up in Midwestern Ontario.

Snowfall warnings have been issued for Grey County. There are also warnings for the Bruce Peninsula and northern areas of Wellington including Mount Forest and Arthur.

Total snowfall amounts of 15 centimetres are expected by Thursday morning. Blowing snow is expected to develop Thursday afternoon east of Lake Huron and the squalls will likely continue through Friday. Whiteout conditions are possible.

The rest of the region, including Huron, Perth and Bruce, are still under a special weather statement.

Snow is expected to fall through Wednesday and carry on through the night and into Thursday. Winds gusts of up to 40 km/h per hour from the north-northeast are also expected at times.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
