Minto passes property grading bylaw

Minto wants its residents to be happy with the way their neighbours are handling stormwater.

Chief Building Official Terry Kuippers told council that some low lying lots are being developed which when combined with more severe storm events are causing localized flooding. Some property owners are resorting to regrading their properties to handle the extra water.

Kuippers said a new bylaw adopted by Minto council Tuesday is designed to make sure any lot alterations or regrading will be done without causing water problems for neighbours.
