Weapons and a burial flag stolen in Huron County burglary

Two rifles and a United States burial flag were taken in a break-in north of Centralia.

Huron County Ontario Provincial Police officers say it happened sometime between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Monday.

The thieves forced their way into a residence and a detached garage. Once inside the premises, the thieves ransacked the property and stole several items.

Some of the stolen items include:

· A brown stock open action Gevarm .22 calibre rifle

· A green camo coloured Ruger model 10/22 .22 calibre rifle

· A United States Burial Flag and wooden box keepsake from a deceased family member that served in the US Armed Forces.

· A silver & black onyx high school ring

· A Stihl MS321 chainsaw

· A Samsung Tab A tablet

· A Dell laptop

· A leaf blower

A value for the stolen property has not yet been determined but it is in the thousands.
