Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health confirms first case of COVID-19

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health has its first confirmed case of COVID-19.

The Medical Officer of Health and CEO of WDGPH, Dr. Nicola Mercer, announced a man in his 40s tested positive at Headwaters Health Care Centre in Orangeville

The patient had returned from Atlanta, Georgia.

Mercer said the man is now in self-isolation at home.

"This does not change our protocols around the containment of the COVID-19 virus in our area," said Mercer.
