The arrival of the COVID-19 virus resulted in some significant changes to how many of us do our jobs.
Huron County CAO Meighan Wark said the county has followed the direction from the province.
"As a result of that, we've transitioned to the vast majority of our staff working from home. Of course, there are departments, like Public Works and EMS and our long term care facilities that continue to operate as per usual," said Wark.
Wark said aside from managing the current crisis they also have to be looking to the future and identifying what the challenges will be when the crisis is over.
"Economic Development is going to be a huge priority for us because we will have to be adapting to this new reality and simultaneous to that, we know that residents of Huron County are going to be looking at supports from other levels of government, so economic development and social services will have to be prepared to deal with a multitude of new challenges," added Wark.
