GOJHL's Kitchener Dutchmen relocating to Ayr

The PJHL's Ayr Centennials have purchased the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League's Kitchener Dutchmen and will relocate the team to Ayr.

In a post on Twitter, team President Jack McEachern says they are honoured for the opportunity, noting they are excited to "bring one of the most storied franchises in the GOJHL to their little town".

The Dutchmen are one of the longest standing teams in the Midwest Division, having been in existence since 1956.

The new GOJHL team will be called the Ayr Centennials, and will feature a patch on their jerseys to honour the history of the Dutchmen.
