Police investigating second break-and-enter theft at rural property

Perth County OPP are investigating a second break-and-enter theft at a rural Perth East property.

Sometime overnight on April 17, an unknown number of thieves broke into an outbuilding at a rural property on Perth-Oxford Road in the Township of Perth East. Once inside, the thieves stole 30L of diesel fuel.

This is the second time since March that this has occurred at this rural property. Fuel was also taken during the previous break-in.

Police are reminding residents to ensure that any sheds, garages or outbuildings on their properties should be well-secured and not left open. As well, keys should not be left out in the open.

Anyone with information regarding this theft is asked to call Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
