Police investigating man's disappearance

Police have launched a criminal investigation as officers continue to search for a missing 25-year-old man from Meaford.

The Ontario Provincial Police said Emerson Sprung was last seen leaving his family home on Trowbridge Street West at around 9 p.m. on Saturday. He was riding a BMX bicycle at the time.

Sprung is described as being around 6'0" tall, 175 pounds, with a slim build, and blonde hair. He was last seen wearing black cargo pants, a black leather jacket and blue shoes.

The Grey County OPP Crime Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the man's disappearance.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
