Perth-Wellington to receive Connecting Links funding

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece announced in a release this week that his riding is receiving over $5 million in Connecting Links funding.

The money will go towards road repairs or refurbishments.

The City of Stratford is receiving $3 million for the reconstruction of Huron Street. Wellington North is receiving just over $1.7 million for the resurfacing of George and Smith Streets. West Perth is getting just over $500,000 for the resurfacing of St. George Street in Mitchell.

The funding is part of the $30 million the province made available for Connecting Links funding, which is benefiting 24 municipalities in 2020-21.

Applications will soon be open for eligible municipalities for the 2021-22 cycle.
