Woman seriously injured in Minto crash

A 74-year-old woman is fighting for her life after a car she was driving collided with a tractor trailer in Minto.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Friday at around 11:30 a.m., the two vehicles collided on Wellington Road 6 at 12th Line.

The driver of the car, a 74-year-old woman from Brussels, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Police said Wellington Road 6 at 12th Line is expected to remain closed for most of Friday evening while officers are at the scene.
