Mount Forest complex still a testing centre

Wellington North has agreed to allow the Mount Forest Sports Complex to continue to be used for a COVID-19 testing centre for as long as needed at no cost.

However, when the crisis has passed, Wellington North plans to ask the province to cover its costs.

Council heard about 240 people have been assessed at the centre with four positive tests.

The testing centre could continue to operate in Mount Forest, not necessarily from the Sports Complex, for as long as two years or until a vaccine is discovered.

The current hours for testing are Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and between 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. To make an appointment call 519-323-0255 ext. 5082.
