Police charge driver after head-on collision

One person has been charged following a head-on collision on Highway 21.

On Thursday at 6:28 am, officers responded to a call of a head-on collision between a grey pick-up truck and a white car on Highway 21 west of Bruce County Road 14 in South Bruce Peninsula. The investigation concluded that the car, travelling westbound, crossed over the line onto the gravel shoulder and into the path of the eastbound truck.

One driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police have charged the 29-year-old driver of the car, a resident of South Bruce Peninsula, with careless driving.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
