Police look to speak to 'person of interest' in the death of a Meaford man

Grey Bruce OPP are looking to speak to a "person of interest" in the disappearance and death of a 25-year-old Meaford man.

Emerson Sprung was last seen on May 2 and his remains were found four days later. A 34-year-old Meaford man is charged with first degree murder in the case.

Police said they now want to speak to a person observed twice in a 10-minute span on surveillance video from a private camera on Grant Avenue around 9 p.m. the night of May 2.

The person is believed to be a man, wearing a dark coloured coat with a stripe or logo that extends around the midsection of the coat. He was also wearing dark pants and light coloured shoes. The man is asked to contact police.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
