Teeswater man's latest walk raises $14,000

A Teeswater man's latest walk for Alzheimer's has helped raise $14,000 for the Grey/Bruce and Huron societies.

72-year old Peter Carter took part in the IG Wealth Management Walk on Sunday. It was a virtual walk all across Canada because of COVID-19.

Peter, and his wife Jo-Ann, walked four kilometres in Teeswater.

With 10 walks under his belt, Carter has raised over $86,000 and is planning for the 2021 event.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
