Police investigating theft of defibrillator from local park

Huron County OPP are investigating the theft of a defibrillator from a local park.

Sometime overnight on May 28th, someone went to the Kinette Pavilion in Bannister Park on McDonald Street in Goderich, and stole a defibrillator in the pavilion. The AED defibrillator was donated by the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund in July of 2019 at the park's grand opening.

The stolen defibrillator is a HeartSine Samaritan PAD Sam 500 P model, valued at approximately $2,000.

Huron County OPP want anyone with information regarding this crime to contact them or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
