Commercial vehicles pulled off the road in Bruce County

Members of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP Highway Safety Division (HSD), and Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO) Enforcement Unit worked together to inspect Commercial Motor Vehicles (CMV) in the Municipality of Brockton on June 3, 2020.

The Commercial Motor Vehicle checks included licencing, documentation, vehicle weight, and mechanical fitness.

There were 8 Level One and 9 Level Two inspections completed.

14 Provincial Offence notices served and five Commercial Motor Vehicles taken out of service.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
