Stolen truck found in Huron County pond

Huron County OPP officers are investigating a theft of a pickup truck that was stolen from an Exeter residence last week.

On June 5, 2020, Huron OPP officers responded to a gravel pit located on Tower Line Road where they recovered a stolen Dodge Ram pickup that was found partially submerged in a pond on the property.

Investigators were able to contact the owner of the truck and it was learned the truck had been stolen sometime overnight on June 4, 2020, from a John Street West residence in Exeter.

Although the truck has been recovered, it is deemed to be a complete loss.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
