Goderich moving forward with metered parking along water front

Goderich is holding off on metered parking along the waterfront, for now.

Council decided Monday to push the idea forward into 2021. But in the end, it won't cost Goderich residents.

"Council has decided to move forward with the parking, of course. And the biggest thing is that it will be free for Goderich residents," said Mayor John Grace. "There are still lots of things to decide and we will not open that program until 2021".

Grace added that money generated from the paid parking will not be used for the shoreline restoration, but will be used to cover the costs of the day to day operation of the waterfront.
