Collision between tanker truck and pedestrian results in a fatality

Huron County OPP say a collision between a pedestrian and tanker truck in Goderich has resulted in a fatality.

Just after 8 am on June 11th, OPP officers and Huron County Paramedic Services responded to the crash site located at the intersection of Bayfield Road (Highway 21) and Blake Street East. The injured pedestrian was airlifted to a regional hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The initial police investigation revealed that the pedestrian was travelling eastbound on Blake Street East when he entered into the path of a tanker truck that was southbound on Bayfield Road (Highway 21). The deceased has been identified as 69-year-old Ronald Miller of Goderich.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
