Construction complete on new OPP detachment

The new OPP detachment in Clinton is finally done after having construction delayed due to COVID-19.

The modern day policing facility will continue to serve Huron County with many improvements in technology, and will officially open on June 22nd.

With the completion of the Clinton OPP detachment, the satellite offices in Exeter and Wingham are no longer needed. Wingham will close on June 22nd, while Exeter will close on the 29th.

The OPP office located in the Goderich Town Office at 50 Courthouse Square will remain open as a Community Policing Office.

The new Clinton detachment is located at 325 Albert Street.

Initially, controlled access measures will be in place at the new detachment during the remainder of the COVID-19 pandemic.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
