Grey Bruce OPP welcome new officer

In May of 2020, the Grey Bruce Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) welcomed a new recruit to the county.

Provincial Constable Pippi Jung is originally from Neustadt, Ontario.

Pippi completed a Police Studies Degree in 2018. Pippi volunteered as an auxiliary member for four years with the South Bruce OPP. Pippi also worked as a records clerk with the Owen Sound Police Service, before transitioning to a Police Officer.

PC Jung loves farming and nature and she is thrilled to be assigned to the Grey Bruce OPP and looks forward to continuing to serve her community.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
