SIU involved after missing person investigation in Bruce Township

South Bruce OPP was called to investigate a missing person last evening.

At about 5:38 p.m., South Bruce Officers located the 36-year-old Guelph-Eramosa Township resident was located along Sideroad 30 in Bruce Township.

Members of Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services helped escort the man to an ambulance and he was transported to a local hospital for assessment.

The OPP has notified the province's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate.

As a result, the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
