Suspicious fire sparks investigation

The Ontario Fire Marshal's office has been notified after an abandoned century house in Guelph-Eramosa Township went up in flames.

Members of Wellington County OPP and Guelph Fire Department were called to a structure fire on Speedvale Avenue West on Saturday around 6 p.m.

Provincial police said the fire appears to be suspicious. The structure is now classified as a "total loss".

No injuries were reported.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
