Exeter Rodeo cancelled

The Exeter Rodeo has been cancelled for this year.

South Huron Mayor George Finch said the committee began planning for this year almost as soon as last year's event ended, and they deserve a lot of credit for the work they've done over the years to make the Rodeo so successful.

"The Committee for the Rodeo, they've done a fantastic job over the years to make it so vibrant. It's very unfortunate they have to cancel it, but it's a fact of life in today's world, COVID-19. So kudos to the committee for all the work they've done," said Finch.

Finch said he's confident the rodeo will be back next year stronger than ever.
