Minto unveils new Community Flag Pole

The Town of Minto has unveiled a new Community Flag Pole that will help champion local causes and organizations.

The new flag pole is on the grounds of the municipal office. The flagpole will be made available to community organizations who wish to fly a flag in honour of an event or a special cause.

With Pride Month well underway, the Minto Pride Group flew the Pride flag at the official unveiling of the flag pole on Thursday.

Requests to fly a flag on the new flag pole can be submitted to the Clerk's Office for approval.

The Town of Minto will not allow flags to be flown in support of political parties, commercial organizations, religious groups, or groups that support social or racial intolerance, violence or hatred.
