Stunt drivers keep Grey Bruce OPP busy

Grey Bruce OPP officers are continuing efforts to get people to slow down this summer.

Between July 31 and August 3, 13 more motorists on Highway 6 were charged with stunt driving

The drivers were travelling 50 kilometres per hour or more over the posted speed limit,

All of the accused motorists faced an immediate seven-day licence suspension and an impounded vehicle for a week.

Those charged ranged in age from 18 to 53 years old.

The Grey Bruce OPP wants to remind motorists that excessive speed in one of the leading causes of deaths on Ontario highways.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
