One dead, two injured in Chatsworth crash

A 68-year-old woman is dead and two other people were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Chatsworth over the long weekend.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Saturday shortly before 10:30 a.m., a motorcycle that was travelling west on Grey Road 16 collided with a pickup truck that was heading south on Concession Road 6.

The driver and passenger on the motorcycle were both rushed to hospital where the passenger, 68-year-old Brenda McKay of Chatsworth, was pronounced dead.

The 68-year-old driver of the motorcycle also suffered serious injuries and the 32-year-old driver of the truck was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
