Police investigating another fatal crash in Midwestern Ontario

South Bruce OPP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred in Arran Township.

On August 11 at 7:32 pm, officers received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bruce County Road 10 and Concession 6 in Arran Township. Police responded alongside members of the Tara Fire Department and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and found that a transport truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in the crash.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was extricated by firefighters and airlifted to London hospital with non-life threatening injuries, however, the passenger of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified.

The driver of the transport truck was not injured.

Bruce County Road 10 was closed for a lengthy period of time. It has since re-opened to traffic.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
