Hanover boy gets new bike after stolen his couldn't be found

A Hanover boy is likely all smiles after having his stolen bike replaced.

On July 23, police received a report of a theft of a BMX Bike in Hanover.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Chesley, however, the bike has not been recovered.

On August 14, Cathy and Dale Cousins from Hanover's Canadian Tire donated a brand new bike, helmet and bike lock to the victim, a 10-year-old named Jose.

The Hanover Police Service reminds everyone that if you are the victim of bike theft in Hanover, you are encouraged to contact them so officers can determine if they are currently in possession of your bike.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
